This policy applies to lawsonhart.me and related services I operate under my domains,
including the comments service and games website. Using the site or those services means you agree
to this policy.
What I Collect
- Contact information you intentionally send, such as email addresses in forms or messages
- Usage data such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, referrers, and visit duration
- Content you submit, including comments, replies, reactions, game submissions, chat or similar in-game text, and other information you choose to enter
- Authentication and security data used by the comments service, including GitHub account identifiers, OAuth or authorization data, session identifiers, CSRF tokens, and related login metadata
Comments Service
The comments service, including comments.lawsonhart.me, may process GitHub sign-in data
so you can authenticate and leave comments. That can include GitHub account details and related
authentication or security data needed to complete sign-in, maintain a session, prevent abuse, and
moderate the service.
If you post a comment, reply, or reaction, that content may be stored and displayed publicly along with account-related profile information associated with your sign-in, such as your GitHub username or avatar.
Games Service
The games website, including games.lawsonhart.me, collects browser and device
information already described above and may also collect temporary gameplay data that you submit,
such as room or session data, player-provided text, game submissions, chat messages, and similar
in-game activity.
Most temporary gameplay submissions and room or session data are deleted after about 24 hours. Security, abuse-prevention, or operational logs may be kept longer when reasonably necessary.
Why I Collect It
- Operate, authenticate, and secure the website and related services
- Display comments, run gameplay features, and process the content you intentionally submit
- Maintain performance, investigate bugs, prevent abuse, and enforce service rules
- Understand usage patterns and improve the site
Retention
- Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to respond or maintain relevant records
- Comments and related moderation or security records may be retained until deleted, removed, or no longer needed to operate the service
- Most games submissions and temporary room or session data are deleted after about 24 hours
- Some logs may be retained longer for security, abuse prevention, debugging, or legal compliance
Third Party Services
Some data may be processed by trusted providers that help deliver hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, or storage. For example, GitHub may process authentication-related data when you use GitHub sign-in for comments. I do not sell your data.
Your Rights
You can request deletion or correction of your data. I will comply where legally required and where operationally appropriate for public content or security records.
Children
This site is not for users under 13. If a child’s data was submitted, contact me.
